ESDC published increased processing times for LMIA streams
On June 9, 2026, Employment and Social Development Canada (ESDC) updated the processing times for the Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) applications under various streams. Based on statistics from all processing centres, the average LMIA processing time has increased for all streams except the Permanent Residence Stream. IRCC conducted IEC draws and invited over 3,000 candidates
Over the last two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws under the International Experience Canada (IEC). Canada expands open work permit eligibility for spouses of temporary foreign workers in Quebec
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) expanded a temporary immigration measure to help families stay together.
