WES launches new scholarships to empower immigrant and refugee youth in Canada

On May 07, 2025, World Education Services (WES) announced two new scholarship initiatives in Canada to support immigrant youth and refugee students in accessing higher education and expanding career opportunities. A $50,000 grant to the Reach Alliance at the University of Toronto will fund projects involving immigrant, refugee, and international students, focusing on health care and Indigenous communities. Additionally, WES provides over $100,000 to Wilfrid Laurier University’s International Students Overcoming War (ISOW) program, funding two four-year scholarships for Rohingya women pursuing undergraduate degrees. These initiatives, totalling over $150,000, mark WES’s ongoing commitment to fostering inclusion and opportunity for newcomers in Canada.
