Ottawa invited over 3,500 candidates under the International Experience Canada program

Over the past month, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws in the International Experience Canada (IEC) pools. From August 11 to September 5, Canada invited 5,532 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of September 5, 36,080 candidates were registered in the pool and waiting for the invitation. Canada issued 1 ITA for Andorra, 32 ITAs for Australia, 3 ITAs for Austria, 127 ITAs for Belgium, 7 ITAs for Chile, 5 ITAs for Costa Rica, 14 ITAs for Croatia, 64 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 22 ITAs for Denmark, 8 ITAs for Estonia, 17 ITAs for Finland, 471 ITAs for France, 393 ITAs for Germany, 38 ITAs for Greece, 25 ITAs for Hong Kong, 1 ITA for Iceland, 352 ITAs for Ireland, 282 ITAs for Italy, 932 ITAs for Korea, 7 ITAs for Latvia, 23 ITAs for Lithuania, 5 ITAs for Luxembourg, 183 ITAs for New Zealand, 20 ITAs for Norway, 61 ITAs for Poland, 83 ITAs for Portugal, 26 ITAs for Slovakia, 4 ITAs for Slovenia, 41 ITAs for Spain, 41 ITAs for Sweden, 20 ITAs for Switzerland, 8 ITAs for Taiwan, and 216 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In 2025, Canada issued 94,378 ITAs under the IEC Program.
