IRCC invited up to 3,500 candidates through the new IEC draws

Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws under the International Experience Canada (IEC). From March 7 to March 13, Canada invited 3,496 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of March 13, 28,448 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation. In these rounds, there were 196 ITAs for Australia, 4 ITAs for Austria, 25 ITAs for Belgium, 4 ITAs for Chile, 2 ITAs for Costa Rica, 5 ITAs for Croatia, 30 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 7 ITAs for Denmark, 5 ITAs for Estonia, 15 ITAs for Finland, 228 ITAs for France, 168 ITAs for Germany, 5 ITAs for Greece, 15 ITAs for Hong Kong, 2 ITAs for Iceland, 171 ITAs for Ireland, 83 ITAs for Italy, 1,600 ITAs for Japan, 285 ITAs for Korea, 1 ITA for Latvia, 10 ITAs for Lithuania, 2 ITAs for Luxembourg, 11 ITAs for the Netherlands, 60 ITAs for New Zealand, 7 ITAs for Norway, 18 ITAs for Poland, 25 ITAs for Portugal, 10 ITAs for Slovakia, 1 ITA for Slovenia, 26 ITAs for Spain, 12 ITAs for Sweden, 9 ITAs for Switzerland, 8 ITAs for Taiwan, and 446 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In total, Canada invited 50,148 IEC candidates in 2026.
