IRCC invited the first IEC candidates of 2026

Over the last week, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held the first draws of the year for the International Experience Canada (IEC) pools. From January 1 to January 23, Canada invited 12,693 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of January 23, 35,567 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation. In these rounds, there were 1 ITA for Andorra, 1,304 ITAs for Australia, 83 ITAs for Austria, 370 ITAs for Belgium, 27 ITA for Costa Rica, 30 ITAs for Croatia, 172 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 33 ITAs for Estonia, 2,108 ITAs for France, 70 ITAs for Greece, 31 ITAs for Hong Kong, 5 ITAs for Iceland, 1,100 ITAs for Ireland, 691 ITAs for Italy, 2,054 ITAs for Korea, 21 ITAs Latvia, 46 ITAs for Lithuania, 11 ITAs for Luxembourg, 375 ITAs for the Netherlands, 76 ITAs for Slovakia, 11 ITAs for Slovenia, 433 ITAs for Spain, 287 ITAs for Taiwan, and 3,354 ITAs for the United Kingdom.
