IRCC held new draws under the IEC and invited over 9,400 candidates

Over the last two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws under the International Experience Canada (IEC). From March 28 to April 10, Canada invited 9,407 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of April 10, 27,651 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation. In these rounds, there were 1,019 ITAs for Australia, 8 ITAs for Austria, 99 ITAs for Belgium, 45 ITAs for Chile, 12 ITAs for Costa Rica, 5 ITAs for Croatia, 96 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 19 ITAs for Denmark, 17 ITAs for Estonia, 23 ITAs for Finland, 597 ITAs for France, 480 ITAs for Germany, 13 ITAs for Greece, 10 ITAs for Hong Kong, 2 ITAs for Iceland, 534 ITAs for Ireland, 342 ITAs for Italy, 2,411 ITAs for Japan, 1,223 ITAs for Korea, 2 ITAs for Latvia, 15 ITAs for Lithuania, 6 ITAs for Luxembourg, 5 ITAs for the Netherlands, 242 ITAs for New Zealand, 14 ITAs for Norway, 76 ITAs for Poland, 65 ITAs for Portugal, 14 ITAs for Slovakia, 3 ITAs for Slovenia, 54 ITAs for Spain, 36 ITAs for Sweden, 16 ITAs for Switzerland, 55 ITAs for Taiwan, and 1,849 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In total, Canada invited 62,714 IEC candidates in 2026.
