IRCC conducted new invitation rounds under the IEC

Over the last two weeks, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) held new draws under the International Experience Canada (IEC). From February 21 to March 6, Canada invited 8,676 young foreigners to apply for an IEC open work permit. As of March 6, 28,404 candidates have registered in the pool and are awaiting the invitation. In these rounds, there were 645 ITAs for Australia, 20 ITAs for Austria, 70 ITAs for Belgium, 68 ITAs for Chile, 23 ITAs for Costa Rica, 7 ITAs for Croatia, 64 ITAs for the Czech Republic, 25 ITAs for Denmark, 10 ITAs for Estonia, 15 ITAs for Finland, 727 ITAs for France, 391 ITAs for Germany, 23 ITAs for Greece, 15 ITAs for Hong Kong, 487 ITAs for Ireland, 232 ITAs for Italy, 2,438 ITAs for Japan, 733 ITAs for Korea, 8 ITAs for Latvia, 22 ITAs for Lithuania, 1 ITA for Luxembourg, 38 ITAs for the Netherlands, 874 ITAs for New Zealand, 15 ITAs for Norway, 62 ITAs for Poland, 38 ITAs for Portugal, 1 ITA for San Marino, 31 ITAs for Slovakia, 2 ITAs for Slovenia, 146 ITAs for Spain, 33 ITAs for Sweden, 16 ITAs for Switzerland, 134 ITAs for Taiwan, and 1,262 ITAs for the United Kingdom. In total, Canada invited 46,652 IEC candidates in 2026.
