On May 6, 2026, the Government of British Columbia held the first invitation draws following updates to the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Programs (BCPNP) priorities and issued invitations to skilled candidates with work experience in healthcare, childcare, construction, and veterinary care occupations. The province issued a total of 333 invitations – 117 healthcare professionals, 9 veterinary care professionals, 86 Early Childhood Educators (ECE), and 121 construction workers. The minimum scores for these draws were 108, 100, 115, and 100 points, respectively. This year, British Columbia has already invited up to 1,770 candidates.
