BC conducted new invitation rounds under five BCPNP categories

On August 6, 2026, British Columbia held new invitation rounds under the British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BCPNP), targeting five priority occupation categories. The province invited 183 early childhood educators; 124 candidates in all priority health care occupations; up to five candidates working in the education sector; 187 candidates in all priority construction occupations; and six candidates in priority veterinary care occupations. The veterinary draw was open to all priority veterinary care occupations, while animal health technologists and veterinary technicians (NOC 32104) were required to hold a valid professional designation. The minimum scores were 102 for childcare, 84 for health care, 68 for education, 88 for construction, and 72 for veterinary care. So far in 2026, British Columbia has invited up to 4,359 candidates through the BCPNP.
