The Government of Canada increased the inadmissibility fees

Starting December 1, 2023, the Canadian Government will implement annual adjustments to inadmissibility fees for foreign nationals seeking status changes within Canada. These adjustments are based on inflation rates dating back to April 2018, and as a result, application fees have surged by approximately 13.77%, as per the Service Fees Act (SFA). The Government will consider issuing partial refunds or remissions if service standards are unmet. Therefore, starting from December 1, 2023, the inadmissibility fees will reflect these changes:

  • Authorization to return to Canada - $459.55

  • Rehabilitation – Inadmissible on the grounds of criminality - $229.77

  • Rehabilitation – Inadmissible on the grounds of serious criminality - $1,148.87

  • Restore your status as a visitor, worker or student - $229.77

  • Restore your status as a worker and get a new work permit - $384.77

  • Restore your status as a student and get a new study permit - $379.77
