Statistics Canada predicted a 21 million population growth

According to various scenarios projected by Statistics Canada, the population of Canada could increase by about 21 million over the next 50 years, potentially 63 million by 2073. This growth is expected despite Canada's natural population aging, which is projected to increase the average age to between 42.6 and 50.1 years by 2073. The growth rate is forecasted to slow down from an average of 1.12% over the last 30 years to 0.79% in 2073 due to low fertility rates and decreasing life expectancy. Immigration is identified as a key strategy in combating these trends, contributing significantly to Canada's labour force growth and demographic balance.
