The Government of Saskatchewan has announced a significant milestone in its Graduate Retention Program (GRP), with investments exceeding $800 million since 2009. This unique initiative has benefited over 85,000 post-secondary graduates, offering up to $20,000 in tuition tax credits for those living and working in the province. Advanced Education Minister Colleen Young emphasized the program's role in retaining talent and fostering economic growth. The GRP, available to both Canadian and international students, allows recipients up to a decade post-graduation to claim benefits, solidifying Saskatchewan's commitment to building a skilled workforce for future generations.
