Quebec started accepting applications under the Immigrant Investor Program

The Quebec Immigrant Investor Program (QIIP) has resumed accepting applications as of January 1, 2024, with enhanced requirements. This reopening follows a period of closure under the guidance of Immigration Minister Christine Frechette to foster better socioeconomic integration for selected investors. The revised rules necessitate that applicants showcase Level 7 proficiency in the French language, secure a work permit, hold at least a secondary school diploma, and reside in Quebec for six months after obtaining their permit. In terms of financial commitment, investors must invest $1 million and contribute $200,000 to IQ Immigrants Investisseurs within a 120-day window following application approval.
