The Canadian Government has announced a significant investment of $3.2 billion over three years to enhance the integration of newcomers into the Canadian workforce. Minister Lena Metlege Diab revealed that funding will be distributed among more than 520 organizations outside Quebec, focusing on tailored settlement services that address regional needs rather than employing a universal approach. These initiatives aim to help newcomers obtain professional licensing, access language training, and integrate into francophone communities, ultimately filling critical vacancies in high-demand sectors such as healthcare and skilled trades.
