Manitoba's economy demonstrated continued strength in September 2025, with the province adding 3,900 new positions. The province was among only three Canadian jurisdictions to report employment growth during the month. Full-time positions increased significantly by 11,100 jobs, while average hourly wages rose 4.1 percent. Both public and private sectors contributed to the expansion, reflecting broad-based economic momentum. Manitoba maintains one of the nation's three lowest unemployment rates, with notable improvements in women's employment rising 1.2 percent and youth unemployment declining to 12.4 percent, signalling a transition toward more stable, full-time career opportunities across the province.
