Manitoba launched enhanced immigration programs for employers: the Employer Direct Initiative and the Temporary Resident Retention Pilot are now available

Manitoba's Employer Services has officially reopened applications for the revamped Employer Direct Initiative  (EDI) as of September 2, 2025, introducing updated eligibility criteria and streamlined processes to serve businesses better. Simultaneously, the province launched the innovative Temporary Resident Retention Pilot (TRRP) program, strategically designed to assist Manitoba employers in retaining qualified temporary residents already employed within their organizations. These initiatives represent significant enhancements to Manitoba's immigration framework, creating new pathways for businesses to address workforce needs through improved immigration channels.
