Starting February 23, 2023, the Government of Canada began requiring biometrics results from Ukrainian nationals applying for temporary residence from inside Canada. As of March 31, 2023, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) will not automatically extend the deadline for Ukrainian nationals' biometrics. Applicants who received a biometric instruction letter before March 31, 2023, must provide their biometrics as soon as possible to process their applications. Ukrainian nationals and their family members need to give their biometrics to travel to Canada if they have yet to provide them in the past or if biometrics are required.
