On June 10, 2024, the Government of Canada updated the permanent residence pathways for Hong Kong residents. Applicants will now receive an acknowledgement letter after a completeness check. Additionally, the Government updated the intake instructions for Stream B. Currently, applicants must have at least one year of full-time (or equivalent part-time, up to 30 hours per week, totalling at least 1,560 hours) authorized Canadian work experience within the last three years. Any additional hours over 30 in a week will not count towards qualifying work experience.
