The Federal Court of Canada has announced a strategic enhancement to its immigration judicial review process. Effective May 14, 2025, the Court has extended the application period for judicial reviews of immigration decisions. This modification increases the standard 30-day filing window to 75 days, giving applicants an extended timeframe to complete their applications. The Court implemented this measure in response to the increased volume of immigration-related judicial reviews during 2024-2025, ensuring applicants have sufficient time to prepare comprehensive documentation.
