The Atlantic Premiers discussed mutual concerns, progress, and initiatives aimed at bettering the lives of Atlantic Canadians. They focused on improving affordability, housing, and healthcare and addressing labour shortages to enhance the region's economy. The meeting, chaired by Newfoundland and Labrador Premier Dr. Andrew Furey, also featured discussions on best practices in forest management and wildfire preparedness. The Premiers expressed their commitment to support Canadians during the wildfire season and advocated for the federal government to extend the initiative for improved cell service during emergencies across Atlantic Canada.
