The Government of Alberta has launched nominations for the 2026 Alberta Immigrant Impact Awards, a program honouring immigrants who have made meaningful contributions across the province. The awards span eight categories, including Arts and Sports, Entrepreneurial Spirit, and Young Leader. Associate Minister of Multiculturalism Muhammad Yaseen emphasized the importance of recognizing how newcomers support businesses, drive innovation, and volunteer in communities. Nominations will be accepted through an online portal until May 12, with winners celebrated at a ceremony this fall. Eligible nominees must be foreign-born individuals residing in Alberta who have contributed to the province's economic or social fabric.
