Virtual job fair targets bilingual candidates for the Canadian tourism sector

Destination Canada and Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) are set to host a virtual job fair from November 13-15, 2024, focusing on tourism, hospitality, and culinary positions across Canada, excluding Quebec. The event, scheduled from 3-8 pm Central European Time, aims to connect French-speaking and bilingual job seekers with Canadian employers. Eligible candidates must register between September 23 and October 27, upload a bilingual CV, and meet specific criteria, including experience in relevant sectors. This initiative aligns with Canada's broader efforts to boost Francophone immigration, with targets set to increase from 6% this year to 8% by 2026 in areas outside Quebec.
