The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) has initiated investigations into 66 cases involving suspected senior Iranian officials who may have entered Canada despite legal prohibitions. Officials have already identified 20 individuals as inadmissible under Canadian law, with one person removed and two others issued deportation orders. The agency's spokesperson emphasized that Canada maintains a "strong response to suspected senior officials in the Iranian regime" as part of efforts to prevent them from finding sanctuary in Canada. This heightened scrutiny comes amid escalating tensions following the Israel-Iran conflict that erupted on June 12, with human rights advocates expressing concerns about potential IRGC members entering the country.
