Alberta updated the inventory and held six new draws under the AAIP

On May 9, 2025, Alberta released an update regarding the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) and the results of its recent immigration draws. According to the new update, there were 3,189 applications to be processed and 2,979 nomination spaces remaining for 2025. The number of expressions of interest for all streams or pathways in the selection pool was 56,656. On April 29, 30, and May 6, 2025, Alberta held new invitation rounds in the Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors and invited a total of 59 candidates working in the construction, agriculture, and aviation sectors. Additionally, on May 1 and 8, the province invited 36 and 35 candidates under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway (Express Entry and non-Express Entry). The May 5 draw was dedicated to the Rural Renewal Stream, which issued 165 invitations. So far, Alberta has invited 1,125 candidates through the AAIP streams this year.
